Mafeisan is a small-batch apothecary based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Because we ship internationally, we receive and process information from customers around the world.

What we collect

• Checkout: name, email, shipping address, and order contents, so we can fulfill your order.
• Payment:your card details are entered directly into our payment processor's (Square's) secure hosted fields and tokenized in your browser. We never see or store your card number.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up, so we can send updates about new batches and restocks.
• Contact form: your name, email, and message, so we can respond to you.
• Cart:items in your cart are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, until you check out.

How we use it

We use your information to process and ship orders (including internationally), respond to questions, and send occasional newsletter emails, but only if you've signed up. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary information with the vendors that keep this site running: our payment processor (Square) to process payment, our email provider (Resend) to deliver contact-form replies and newsletter emails, our database provider (Turso) to store order and subscription records, and our hosting provider to serve the site. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall site traffic.

International data transfers

Because we operate from the United States and sell internationally, the personal information you provide may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and in the regions where our service providers operate. When we transfer data to service providers, we rely on appropriate safeguards and contractual terms. By placing an order, you understand and agree that your information will be processed this way.

Age requirement

Our products and this site are intended for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
